Female artists from 75 countries unite for Push for Progress exhibition

It celebrates stories of courage and determination from around the world

An art exhibition featuring female artists from 75 countries is coming to Dubai to celebrate stories of courage and determination from around the world.

One&Only Royal Mirage Resort is hosting the Press for Progress event in collaboration with ZeeArts under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Butti Suhail Al Maktoum.

The art show, which is running from now until Thursday March 29, will showcase works by female artists who have united to express their personal experiences through different medium.

The showcase of paintings and sculptures takes place at the Grand Gallery, Arabian Court and One&Only Royal Mirage, and features works from a diverse range of countries across the Middle East, Europe, Africa, Asia and the Americas.

Zaahirah Muthy, founder of community arts platform ZeeArts said: “We as women each go through different experiences, challenges, and emotions in our life, in which we find an extraordinary power to overcome and to make a difference.

“As artists, women are able to express their stories through creative expression that can be shared with others. Each artist selected for this exhibition has been chosen for their inspiration to make a positive change through their art, and the collection pays tribute to all the female artists who have played a pivotal role in society.”

The Press for Progress exhibition is the latest in an ongoing programme of events at One&Only Royal Mirage which supports and showcases work from international and local artists, from classical music concerts, to boutique art exhibit.

It’s currently art season in Dubai, so check out what else is happening across the city.
