It’s that time of the year again. The hobs are on, the market stalls are readying and the fairground rides are revving up. We’re talking about Global Village, of course, and its re-opening after the summer hiatus.
The al fresco theme park is home to more than 25 pavilions representing 75 countries across the world, and you’ll be able to indulge in everything from Canadian poutine to Swiss raclette and Dutch mini pancakes.
There’s also a funfair where you can enjoy 28 rides and more than 100 arcade games. And this season there’s even a new circus show to get worked up about.
Tickets to Global Village cost a mere Dhs15 per person, unless you’re going VIP of course.
The most expensive package is the Platinum, costing Dhs4,000 for two car passes for VIP parking across two reserved spots, 150 VIP entry tickets, 25 VIP parking tickets, Carnaval funfair tickets worth Dhs500 (including tickets for the new circus show with Dhs300) and 20 discount vouchers for 15 percent off in restaurants.
Gold packs cost Dhs1,500 with one car pass, 140 VIP entry tickets, 15 VIP parking tickets and Carnaval funfair cards worth Dhs250 with circus show tickets.
Silver packages cost Dhs900 and include one car pass, 120 VIP entry tickets, ten VIP parking tickets and funfair cards worth Dhs200.
