Summer is over, the humidity is fading away and we’re back to being able to enjoy being outside again.

And as the city is buzzing, school has started and people have returned to Dubai after the summer break, it’s prime time to kick off the winter season.

Time Out Dubai has partnered with City Walk to bring you Street Fest, an outdoor celebration like no other.

Enjoy the design-inspired setting of City Walk combined with Venetian themed artists, kids’ activities, beautiful parades, Italian singers, fabulous costumes and more.

Every Thursday to Saturday from now until November 3, the streets of City Walk will be overtaken with dancers and performers for the Venetian Festival – and you’d do well to dig out your own fancy dress as there will be massive prizes given away for the best costume on the final weekend of the fun-packed event.

Our Time Out bear, Elliott, will also be making an appearance on the final weekend of the festival to hand out spot prizes to impressive (and extra scary) Halloween costumes – so go wild with your creativity. Speaking of arts and crafts, there will be plenty on offer, with mask making sessions, a dress up corner and face painting at the kid’s workshop (situated near N Bar).

And make sure you don’t miss the extra special parades being laid on across the event. Taking place from Thursday to Saturday across the course of the festival, from 5.30pm until 9.30pm featuring up to 20 artists including singers, string trios, flag dancers, stilt walkers, unicyclists and more.

Alongside the Venetian street festival, there will also be host of fun activities throughout the week. Live shows see the likes of Barney’s World of Imagination taking to Mattel Play!

Town from Saturday to Wednesday at noon, 4.30pm and 7pm, and on Thursday and Friday at noon, 4.30pm and 7.30pm.

Bob’s Building Club will also be arriving at City Walk from Saturday to Wednesday at 10.30am and 3pm and on Thursday and Friday at 10.30pm, 3pm and 9pm, while Welcome to Pontypandy will be entertaining little ones from Saturday to Sunday at 1.20pm and 6pm.

There’s also a “Spook-tacular Dance Party” taking place on the Stage area in Mattel Play! Town on October 18, 19, 20, 25, 26 and 27 from 5pm until 5.30pm when the area will be transformed with lights and spooky decorations so the kids can let loose as well as fun-filled family-friendly pumpkin hunt around Mattel Play! Town, as it does fall around Halloween afterall.
