Bollywood Parks Dubai launches 11 brand-new street shows

The thing we love most about a good flick from Indian cinema has to be the pumping music and dance acts. And now, this theme park in Dubai is bringing those acts to its streets.

Bollywood Parks Dubai has a line-up of 11 brand-new performances all the way from India – including a flute artist, a street circus and, of course, tributes to the hugely popular movies in the industry.

The street shows will be shown throughout various places in the park each day, with all of them being included in the ticket price – which is a bargainous Dhs99 if you're a resident.

But where to go and what to expect? Walk straight in and be greeted by the appropriately named Jashan E Welcome, giving visitors a taste the diverse music and culture of India.

Head over to the park’s Crossroads for a fusion of western and Bollywood-themed music and cultural performances by Desi Pardesi, while those looking to join in on the fun can join Dhinchak Bollywood at Mumbai Express to play a popular game in India.

For more tributes to your favourite musical films from Bollywood, the Rangmanch area will host South Ka Tadka, performing music from South India and popular movies, while Mehfil E Adaa will honour the women of Bollywood and showcase traditional dance forms, including classical dance Kathak.

If all that dancing has your foot tapping, the Lotus Court will showcase Rajasthani folk dance, while a parade will be bringing together a medley of performances at Bollywood Boulevard.

As for the other acts, visitors can expect a flute artist, an Indian street circus with a rope walk duo and a magician getting up to their usual tricks of the mind.

“The performers have been brought all the way from India and they capture the very essence of some of the most well-known dance forms of India,” said Marketing Director of Bollywood Parks Dubai Moira Casey.

Bollywood Parks Dubai is the first theme park to celebrate all things Bollywood, with cinematic rides based on the movie industry’s most popular flicks.

Tickets for UAE residents are priced at Dhs99, while tourists can get in for Dhs175. We can't wait to check it out.
Dhs99 (UAE resident), Dhs175 (tourists). Open Sat-Wed 1pm-9pm; Thu-Fri 1pm-10pm. Dubai Parks and Resort, Sheikh Zayed Road, (800 2629464).
