Take your kids on a costume adventure at Louvre Abu Dhabi

Are your little ones already showing an interest in anything art, culture, history or fashion related?

If the answer is yes, then it’s well worth planning a journey to the capital, as the Louvre Abu Dhabi is running a new interactive adventure through the Children’s Museum until July 2020.

The Children's Museum hosts family-friendly experiences and workshops in both Arabic and English and the latest one to take residency is “A Costume Adventure”.

A Costume Adventure, is an engaging, interactive space that will let young art and history enthusiasts dive into the wardrobes of great figures from the past as well as explore original artworks and then dress up to look like the people in the artworks.

There are also games, challenges, the chance to make your own digital avatar and more, including a free weaving workshop every Friday between 2.30pm and 3.30pm.

Little ones and adults alike will learn about how artists throughout history have used clothes to reveal facts about the people wearing them.

The interactive experience is recommended for kids between the ages of four and ten but families with younger children needn’t worry as they can also enjoy the new Toddler Space, where little ones under the age of three can explore costumes through simple construction games and activities.

Entrance to the Children’s Museum is included the general admission tickets to the Louvre Abu Dhabi and kids under 13 go for free and all children must be accompanied by an adult.
Free (kids under 13), Dhs31.50 (aged 13-22), Dhs63 (adults). Open Sat-Sun & Tue-Wed 10am-8pm, Thu-Fri 10am-10pm. Ongoing until July 2020. Saadiyat Island, Abu Dhabi, www.louvreabudhabi.ae (600 565566).
