It’s one of the city’s most instantly recognisable landmarks, and the Ain Dubai has had an estimated opening date confirmed.
The centrepiece of the city’s newest destination, Bluewaters, Ain Dubai has been in development for several years now – and we can’t wait to see the finished product.
Now, Dubai Media Office has again confirmed that the wheel will begin turning to coincide with the arrival of Expo 2020, which kicks off on Tuesday October 20.
Sitting in the middle of Dubai’s latest destination, Bluewaters, Ain Dubai will be a tourist attraction in its own right, offering spectacular views of the Dubai Marina skyline on one side and the Arabian Gulf on the other.
Visitors will also be able to scale up the central frame of the Ain Dubai, then abseil down again from 150 metres, assisted of course by expert climbers and abseilers.
Fun fact, the cable wiring holding the wheel rim of the Ain Dubai in place has a cumulative length equal to the distance between Dubai and Cairo.
It’s not long before this new tourist attraction is complete, and we can’t wait to see the finished product. In the meantime, check out this infographic.
