RTA release new video of huge floating islands project

Dubai’s beaches are famous the world over, and now it’s been revealed it will add a whole new beach destination, and it comes with floating islands.

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) will be launching an all-new family-friendly mega project named Sunset Promenade, spread across a 190,000 square metre stretch.

Connecting Jumeirah Beach Walk near the Dubai Water Canal, the beach destination will feature a 1km beach promenade with modern designs for green hills, sandy hills and private car parking.

Along with this, Sunset Promenade will also feature a series of floating islands, and will also boast a retail area of 1,410 square metres.

The announcement was made via RTA’s twitter with a promotional video. Check it out below:



First planned in 2019, confirmation on when development will finish has yet to be announced. We’ll keep you posted right here.
