Time Out Says

If anyone ever dares tell you that Dubai is lacking in culture, send them to Dubai Opera. It’s a tremendous venue that brings the best performers in classical, pop, rock and theatre to the UAE

The striking building, based in the heart of the busy Downtown district, raised its curtain for the first time in 2016 and has since welcomed a galaxy of stars, including two thirds of the three tenors, Placido Domingo and Jose Carreras and the iconic Blue Man Group, as well as world-renowned stage shows such as Cats, West Side Story and Les Misérables. From the world of rock there has been Rufus Wainwright, James Morrison, Status Quo and even ’90s pop stars Steps

You shouldn’t need any more excuses to get dressed up to the nines for a flashy night out, but if you’re still to be convinced, hugely respected chef Sean Connolly has a fantastic rooftop bar and restaurant at the venue.
