Time Out Says

If you have a penchant for top-quality grub by the beach, a bit of beachside shopping, waterparks or lazing the day away on the sand, La Mer is for you.

La Mer is a sprawling 13.4 million sq ft development in Dubai’s Jumeirah 1 with more than 130 restaurants, cafés and shops, plus a cinema.

Places well worth your time include modern Indian restaurant Masti, which also specialises in mixed drinks, sleek sports bar Stars ’N’ Bars, healthy, organic café The Slab, Italian pizza joint Alice Pizza and fruity, juicy venue HOLA Natural Fruits Delights, as well as popular burger bar SALT and several ice cream parlours.

Shops to check out include 98 Coast Av., selling gents beachwear, sunglasses seller I Sea and womenswear boutique Trina Turk Los Angeles.

And if you want to splash around there’s the massive Laguna Waterpark, that’s packed with slides and even a pool that you can learn to surf on, which is ideal for adults and kids alike.

There’s loads to eat, see and do at La Mer, making it the perfect place to spend a full day with the whole gang.
