Mall of the Emirates

Time Out Says

If you thought you couldn’t ski in the desert, you’d be wrong. Dubai's Mall of the Emirates is home to the massive Ski Dubai, where you can ski, snowboard, go zorbing or make friends with penguins. You can even have skiing lessons, and when it all gets a bit much you can simply retire to one of the bars and cafés in the mall (our preference is Après, thanks to the steaming cheese fondue) and watch all the action on the slopes below.

When it comes to shopping there is loads of choice thanks to more than 600 shops, including department stores Harvey Nichols and Debenhams, as well as Marks & Spencer.

For high-end shopping in Dubai's Mall of the Emirates there’s everything from Chanel to Gucci or if you’re on a tighter budget high street stores Mango, Zara, Topshop and H&M are among the big names.

Kids will be entertained at Magic Planet, there’s also a VOX Cinemas and Yalla Bowling if you’re looking for a full day out.

Peckish? Stop by one of the many restaurants including Common Grounds for a tasty breakfast (get there early, it’s always packed), Gossip Girl favourite Sarabeth’s dim sum joint Din Tai Fung (there’ll be a wait but it’s worth it). Mall of the Emirates is one of our favourites due to the wealth of options, while still being easy to navigate your way around.
