Nikki Beach Dubai
It’s the sleekest, shiniest, whitest and beachiest of beach clubs in Dubai this year. Partially submerged sunlounger? Oh, go on then – but without using further rhetorical questions this club does throw a heaving bash on a regular basis, including the global brand’s famous white party. So whether you’re chilling at the beach, in the pool or boogying down on the sands of Pearl Jumeira, there’s nowhere better in town to spend the day partying in the sun than here.
Open daily 11am-9pm. Nikki Beach Dubai Resort & Spa, Pearl Jumeira (04 376 6162).
Beach – check. Pool – check. Gorgeous view of Dubai Marina skyline – check. There’s little this beach club in New Dubai doesn’t do well, and it’s a lovely spot for a day spent reclining in the sunshine. The Marina views are great and the vibe is exclusive.
Open daily 10.30am-7.30pm. One&Only Royal Mirage, Al Sufouh (04 315 2200).
It might not technically be on a beach but this is a beach club – and a banging one at that. A huge, chilled central pool is accompanied by a swim-up bar, loads of private (but free to use) plunge pool-meet-Jacuzzis and sun loungers. And there are some absolutely mega Ibiza parties here on a monthly basis – a must-visit.
Open Tue & Fri, noon-11pm. Meydan Racecourse, Nad Al Sheba (052 433 3375).
More than 20 years old, this Dubai institution is as popular today as it has ever been. On the top deck, you’ll find the club’s famous gigantic telly, always showing the day’s choice match or event. On the lower deck, another bar and recently opened swimming pool make this a chilled-out spot for beachgoers throughout the week. But this place is also capable of throwing a pumping party.
Open Sat-Wed 10am-1am, Thu-Fri 10am-2.30am. Le Méridien Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina, Al Sufouh (04 318 1313).
Blue Marlin Ibiza UAE
Hailing from the White Isle, Blue Marlin Ibiza UAE is one of the swankiest, trendiest, most happening places among partygoers who love feeling the heavy beat of EDM (and some sand) beneath their feet. Set just outside the city, Blue Marlin is home to a cracking Saturday barbecue brunch, but the party really kicks off on a Friday. Blue Marlin knows how to throw a party – a magnificent party at that.
Open Fri 1pm-11pm, Sat 1pm-9pm. Golden Tulip Al Jazira Hotel And Resort Ghantoot (056 1133 400).
After opening in the place of El Chiringuito late last year, Playa Nomade has quickly carved out a place among the city’s top beach clubs. Laid-back double sunbeds are scattered around the pool, while cabanas hidden under the trees offer an intimate way to look out over the waters of Palm Jumeirah. The beach club also hosts regular day-to-night brunches, with the party going on for more than eight hours.
Open Wed-Sun 10am-7pm, Fri 10am-midnight; Sat 10am-8pm. Rixos The Palm Dubai, Palm Jumeirah (054 449 6464).
Set at the very end of the Madinat Jumeirah complex within the Al Naseem resort, Summersalt retains a feeling of exclusivity with its up-close-and-personal views of Burj Al Arab Jumeirah and palm tree-lined pool. Add in cool, chilled-out beats and a restaurant serving Japanese-South American fusion cuisine and it’s a top spot for an afternoon.
Open daily 9am-10.45pm. Jumeirah Al Naseem, Madinat Jumeirah, Umm Suqeim (04 366 7680).
If you’re looking to hit the beach by day, or party by night, then Zero Gravity should be on your must list – whether you’re chilling out in the temperature controlled infinity pool, the Jacuzzi or down by the sea. You’ve got everything you need – and with regular appearances from global nightlife legends, it’s a top place to groove.
Open Sun 10am-1am, Mon 10am-9pm, Tue 9am-3am, Wed 10am-9pm, Thu 10am-3am, Fri 8am-3am, Sat 8am-1am. Next to Skydive Dubai, Dubai Marina (04 399 0009).
