Having recently renovated and massively improved its outside bar area, Palm Grill is an outstanding spot to head to during the non-summer months for a couple of bevvies and some superb sundowner action. Really, we couldn’t recommend it more. With views of the Arabian Gulf and Ain Dubai, you’ll forget all about your next deadline or ignored email, and you can make pretend that you’re still on your holidays for a few hours – or, indeed, if you’re actually on holiday, enjoy, we’re not jealous at all...

Name some box that needs checking for a top-notch beach bar and you’ll probably find most of them have been suitably checked at Key West. Found at Nikki Beach Resort & Spa Dubai at Pearl Jumeira, this spot has some super-tasty Caribbean bites to eat (it also won our Best Outdoor Restaurant 2019 award), some exotic mixed drinks and all those holiday feels. The sea views are unrivalled.

The Beach House
If you’re on the Palm, this is the sundowner spot you’ve been searching for. It’s classy, elegant, but also totally flip flop-friendly, so pretentiousness isn’t a problem. Bag yourself a low-slung sofa, kick back and enjoy the view from one of the most chilled-out bars you’ll find in this part of town.

Popular among residents and tourists alike, a lively night is always guaranteed when you venture to the sprawling beach bar. There’s a load of TVs showing sports on match days, too.

Breeze Beach Grill
Whether it’s an afternoon whiling the hours away, sundowners or evening drinks, Breeze hits the spot every time. Situated on the corner of Club Vista Mare, the bar spills out onto the sands of the Palm and is a perfect spot for winding down and enjoying the sea views.

By day this fancy spot is a chilled-out, elegant beach club, and at sunset there’s a classy bar for drinks. It has an exclusive vibe and top views across to the Marina.

Jetty Lounge is the ideal spot for laid-back beach vibes and a lazy drink on the sand. It’s effortlessly cool, undeniably classy and rather sophisticated in style. Once darkness falls the place livens up. Lit up with purple and gold, the palm trees take on a tropical vibe that will make you feel like you’re on holiday.

This bar on Palm Jumeirah boasts a mellow vibe with views of Burj Khalifa and Downtown Dubai on a clear night. Guests come to this entirely al fresco bar are generally here for a chilled-out drink, a quiet natter and maybe a nibble from the bar bites menu of pan-Asian finger food.

Set in the shadows of the Burj Al Arab Jumeirah, it has been rightly, if quietly, popular for years. Whether for a special occasion or midweek bite to eat, Shimmers is a relaxed, charming beach spot at its best.

The bar is relaxed and laid-back, and more a spot for some quiet sundowners than for a big night out – but that being said, the tables are usually bustling.
