Well if you’re after a rocking time that’s simply the best in town, the you need to head to this enormous rock bar in JBR, because when it kicks off in here on a Friday night there’s no better place to be. An absolute stalwart of the Dubai nightlife scene, Barasti is both the after-party and the after-after-party. Pumping every Friday long into the night, there’s a good happy hour deal that runs through the early evening, but it kicks off when the DJs crank up the volume late into the night at this funky, fun-loving beach bar.

Talking of places that go off the hook, this Asian-themed bar in Dubai Media City kicks off late in the evening. You’re likely to find crowds of partygoers queuing up for their turn on the hops pong tables, complete with UV blacklights for that extra special glow-in-the-dark vibe. Like a good, old sing-song? There’s karaoke, too.

With sprawling views of the Madinat Jumeirah and the Burj Al Arab so close that you could almost reach out and touch it, Bahri Bar is the perfect place to head after brunch. Every Friday you’ll get buy one, get one free on selected mixed drinks, grape and hops from 4pm until 7pm while a live DJ spins out the tracks.

There’s no better time than post-brunch to embrace your inner Mariah/Celine/Snoop Dog and belt out a ballad (or lay down some lyrics). It’s the no-frills fun that we’ve come to know and love – except multiplied. There’s a good chance that the venue will be heaving during your post-brunch visit, but the good news is you won’t have to worry about tottering through the crowds in your stilettos. Anything goes here and the crowd are always up for a good time.

After-brunch at Treehouse gets properly rammed following Hidden Brunch – one of the city’s top party brunches every Friday. Expect a trussed-up crowd that are ready to party. Downtown Dubai views are particularly impressive and you’ll get five drinks for Dhs150 between 4pm and 9pm.

This one is usually popular with the post-Jazz@PizzaExpress brunchers from next door, and with a renovated terrace on the outside and pool tables inside it’s not hard to see why. It’s laid-back and gets lively on a Friday. Definitely one of the best after-brunch spots in the city – and it’s not total chaos either.

Warehouse turns into a full-on nightclub once brunch had subsided, complete with DJs, dancers and blokes on stilts. There’s no pretention as brunchers let loose and have a good dance and you might even be lucky enough to catch the odd dance-off.
