This iconic beach bar has been at the centre of Dubai’s thriving nightlife scene for so long that it doesn’t even get asked for its ID at the door anymore.

The venue first swung open its doors in 1995 and, thanks to its party-loving vibe and sense of fun, is still a huge hit all these years later.

Renowned all over the UAE and beyond, the place is packed to the brim on any given night with revellers in search of good tunes and fun times. Thankfully, both are in ready supply.

Even if you’re not popping over at night, Barasti is an excellent spot to soak up the sunshine during the day and is never short of visitors topping up their tans on the over-sized beds on the beach, sampling some of the top grub.

It may not have all the glitz and glamour of newer nightspots, but we don’t care. Barasti is a Dubai institution.
Open Sun-Wed 10am-1.30am, Thu 10am-3am; Fri 9am-3am; Sat 9am-1.30am. Le Méridien Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina, King Salman Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud Street, Dubai, (04 318 1313).
