700,000 Swarovski crystals, Dhs1million in gold fixtures, 12m long hydraulic-lift catwalk, a robotic bar and a -18 degrees Celsius ice bar.

There are all features of the multi-million dollar renovation of Cavalli Club and to call it flashy would be a massive understatement.

The transformation of the mega-club was designed by famous Italian architect Italo Rota and is plastered in a new animal pattern of Italian designer Robert Cavalli – and it’s open for your perusal now.

On arrival you’ll be ushered down the “Hall of Fame” entrance – namely a futuristic tunnel with light installations leading you to the main venue.

Once seated, you’ll be able to appreciate the crystal chandeliers, the zebra-patterned flooring with lighting effects, video projections and the first hydraulic-lift catwalk in the Middle East.

There’s also a made-in-Italy robotic bar, a $1million grape cellar and a revamped ice lounge, and the menu has been given a spruce up, too.

The new à la carte menu features an exclusive selection of creative dishes drawn from Italy, France and the Mediterranean coast.

“After being certified as number one club in MENA and number five in the world, by International Nightlife Association, we decided to make offer a completely new premium restaurant & clubbing experience,” Hayan Abou Assali, Cavalli’s General Manager told Time Out Dubai.

“This project is a significant multi-million dollar investment and is undertaken with the greatest attention to detail. A priority is to ensure that the new Cavalli Club, Restaurant & Lounge Dubai will continue to be a cornerstone for the region as well as an undisputed leader in the luxury hospitality world.”

We can’t wait to check it out.
Open daily 8.30pm-3am. Fairmont Hotel, Sheikh Zayed Road (050 991 0400).
