A massive underground house music event is kicking off in Dubai next weekend at a secret warehouse location in Dubai Studio City.

The Grid is being held on Thursday July 4, and although the venue is being kept under wraps for now, what we do know is that it will be held in a 50,000-sq.ft soundproofed warehouse (cue frantic Google Earth search).

Every month the venue will be taken over by top artists from the industry, and the opening night next week is no exception, with James Zabiela, Teenage Mutants, Sebastian Mullaert, Josephine De Retour and MadLou taking to the stage.

Hailing from Southampton, DJ James Zabiela is known for his reinvention and innovation of dance music, while German techno duo Teenage Mutants will undoubtedly bring their high-level energy to the show.

Swedish ‘Circle of Live’ artist Sebastian Mullaert has an intricate set planned for Dubai and local talent, Josephine De Retour will warm up the crowd with the very mixes that have taken her on tours of the world.

Finally, performer and founder of The Grid, MadLou, will bring tracks that have made waves at major music festivals including ADE, Burning Man and more to the stage.

Glow sticks at the ready.
From Dhs125. Thu Jul 4, 7.30pm. Location to be revealed, www.dubai.platinumlist.net.
