Brand-new 2-for-1 brunch at Nick & Scott’s Verve Bar & Brasserie

Dubai chef duo Nick and Scott have announced another Friday showdown that’s set to attract huge crowds – and no, it’s not a face-off with their former boss Gordon Ramsay.

Instead, the pair are rolling out a Friday brunch with a bonus two-for-one deal on the house beverage and sparkling package throughout summer.

The brand-new Once Upon a Brunch takes place in their latest venture Verve Bar & Brasserie and runs from 1pm to 4pm every week.

There’ll be live music, a sommelier preparing special drinks and a European-style menu bursting with the duo’s favourite, elegant plates that have propelled them to high heights at their other restaurants folly by Nick & Scott and The Lion by Nick & Scott.

Things kick-off with locally sourced Dibba Bay oysters, starters and salads including paprika smoked salmon, beef carpaccio, and chicken liver and foie gras, plus fine cheeses with seasonal chutney.

For mains, choose from traditional roast beef with Yorkshire pudding, sea bream served “en papillote-style” (that’s in a paper bag, to everyone else) and a summer truffle risotto prepared in a Parmesan wheel.

There’ll also be live stations serving steak tartare with a charcoal vinaigrette in the mix that’s finished with salted duck egg yolk.

Finish the day off with a selection of signature summer desserts.

That sounds like our kind of show.
Dhs299 (soft drinks), Dhs399 (house beverages and sparkling), Dhs599 (premium sparkling). Fri 1pm-4pm. Grand Plaza Mövenpick Media City hotel, Dubai Media City, www.vervebrasserie.com (04 525 7633).
