Want to go somewhere you’ve not visited yet? Try this hot new opening in JBR. The new JBR spot is from the team behind Q43 and Lock, Stock & Barrel, as well as two former winners of our Best Ladies’ Night award – Asia Asia and STK (which is handily in the same hotel). And if that’s anything to go by we already have an inkling that this newcomer is going to be a hit. Every Wednesday from 6pm until 1am, ladies can get three complimentary drinks and any two courses from the Mediterranean-inspired menu for Dhs99. We’ll see you there.
Wed 6pm-1am. Rixos Premium Dubai, JBR (04 394 1832).
This cool new Asian spot in Barsha Heights also has a ladies’ night, where you’ll get one starter dishes and unlimited drinks. The menu boasts some interesting sounding dishes including Thai curry hummus, tandoori chicken popcorn and lamb kebabs. You’ll get to wash it down with unlimited house beverages and the whole package comes in at a pocket-friendly Dhs129.
Dhs129. Tue 6pm-3am. Grand Millennium Dubai, Barsha Heights (052 687 4081).
We don’t know who Joe is but what we do know is that this is a decent spot to visit if love your meat or if you’re on the hunt for a chilled-out evening with your mates. This backyard-style venue is set on the rooftop of the Holiday Inn Dubai Festival City and has good views out across the water and city skyline and a mellow vibe. Every Tuesday, ladies can get a three-course meal from a set menu and unlimited house drinks every for Dhs120. The venue boasts a 2.5-metre open grill so expect meaty dishes and an unpretentious atmosphere.
Dhs120. Tue 8pm-midnight. Holiday Inn Dubai Festival City (055 709 4509).
Ladies, it’s time to take a trip across the bridge to Bluewaters. Enjoy views of JBR and Dubai Marina while sipping on four free drinks and nibbling on discounted Mexican bar snacks every Tuesday and Wednesday at this fancy new restaurant. There’s even a resident DJ to get the fiesta started. Peckish? Try the guacamole. It’s fresh, creamy and studded with sweet pomegranate seeds.
Tue & Wed 8pm-midnight. Bluewaters Dubai (04 557 6627).
The Cozy Room
The only thing we love more than a ladies’ night after work, is a ladies’ night that’s on the weekend. Spend your Friday sipping on three free glasses of pink bubbly at The Cozy Room at Crowne Plaza Dubai, named after its intimate ambiance and the interiors’ soft tones. If you get peckish there’s a menu with dishes such as lime and chilli shrimp, bruschetta al pomodoro and quiche lorraine to choose from.
Fri 8pm-11pm. Crowne Plaza Dubai, Sheikh Zayed Road (800 276963).
The MAINE Street Eatery
This new Dubai Studio City eatery is “cousin” to JBR hotspot, The MAINE Oyster Bar & Grill. Its older relative offers up an excellent ladies’ night and gets absolutely rammed so we have high hopes for this one. If you’re in need of a mid-week pick-me-up head to the New England-inspired brasserie every Wednesday for free-flowing grape from 8pm until midnight and if you’re an oyster-loving lady you’ll be happy to hear that there’s also a daily offering of oysters for Dhs10 apiece from 6pm until 8pm.
Wed 8pm-midnight. Studio One Hotel, Dubai Studio City (04 557 2468).
Verve Bar & Brasserie
If you’re a foodie, the chances that you haven’t already heard of Nick Alvis and Scott Price by now are pretty slim. The popular British chefs are the brains behind excellent spots folly by Nick & Scott and The Lion by Nick & Scott and Verve Bar & Brasserie is their latest venture. The new Dubai Media City spot only opened in April but already has a range of deals to try. Ladies can head down on a Thursday to start the weekend off right at this chic restaurant with two-hours of unlimited sparkling grape and bar bites for Dhs175 a head.
Dhs175. Thu 6pm-8pm. Grand Plaza Mövenpick Media City, Dubai Media City (04 525 7777).
