Say aloha to this new pop-up at Bar 44

The sky-high bar has had a “tiki takeover”

Say aloha to this new pop-up at Bar 44

Bar 44 has launched a new tiki pop-up for the summer and it’s one you’ll want to don your worst flowery shirt for.

Throughout the month of August, the lofty bar will have an “island vibe” and will be serving up mixed drinks flavoured with the likes of pineapple and coconut, as well as a themed menu of Polynesian-inspired bar bites.

And anyone who heads down in a Hawaiian shirt or says the secret code (it’s “aloha” by the way, and it didn’t come from us…) will receive their first mixed drink for free.

So what are you waiting for? Get ready to sit back, relax and take in the vistas with a mixed drink in hand.

On the hunt for more “tropical tiki” spots to spend the summer? Dubai Media City haunt, Tamanya Terrace, has also transformed for the summer and we can’t forget popular haunt Trader Vic's which has recently launched a Latin night.

Who needs Maui, anyway?
Free. Thu 7pm-2.30am, Fri-Wed 7pm-2am. Until Aug 31. Grosvenor House Dubai, Dubai Marina (04 317 6000).
