Popular beach bar to fluctuate prices every Wednesday

A drinks stock exchange is coming to Dubai’s Barasti

As one of Dubai’s longest-running bars, Barasti is never short of ideas when it comes to helping the summer months go by.

Last year it had the gigantic dome ready for the FIFA World Cup, and this year it has the House of Whatever, which is basically meant to be a full-on party where you never quite know what’s going to happen next. Whether it’s mystery gigs (hello, Craig David and De La Soul), spontaneous giveaways, games, live music and more, there’s tonnes happening.

Now, the bar has announced that prices are set to go all over the shop when Wednesdays come rolling around. The Drinks Exchange concept will kick off at 7pm and run through until close, and prices will fluctuate based entirely on demand.

So that means prices of hops will start at Dhs30, and based on how popular it is and how many pints are being bought, it either rise, or fall accordingly. The more popular a drink is, the more expensive it will become, and the less popular, you can see where we’re going with this, the cheaper it becomes.

With the football season back this weekend and loads of midweek action set to return on top of the weekend’s matches, this is going to be a great deal for seeing through the match until the wee hours. We’ve got loads more places to catch the footy here.
Wed, 7pm-3am. Le Méridien Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina, Al Sufouh (04 318 1313).
