Five new brunches to try in Dubai this weekend

Brunch meets ladies’ night. Monroe Tuesdays kick off at 10pm with a sharing style three-course menu that fuses together Italian and Japanese cuisines. The menu will change on a weekly basis but starters could include burrata with cherry tomatoes, crispy calamari and a selection of maki rolls. Sharing main courses vary from the likes of saffron risotto to Scottish salmon teriyaki. Stay late for the after-party with DJ Keza.

This Friday evening brunch takes place in Downtown Dubai’s newest gastropub, with dishes including roasted bone marrow, duck toast, peri peri meatballs, veal baby back ribs, and chicken wings, plus mixed drinks inspired by the brunch’s name.

This bar at the new Vida Emirates Hills hotel promises sharing-style dishes and free-flowing beverages for three-and-a-half hours every Thursday night, all for Dhs325 with drinks. Try dishes including lamb ribs, mushroom and Parmesan rolls and fried chicken wings.

La Carnita
Canada-born, Mexican-inspired taco haunt La Carnita has teamed up with Secret Parties to create a Mexican fiesta held every Friday afternoon. The party runs from 1pm until 5pm, and starts at Dhs299. You’ll get a go at popular dishes from the usual menu including nachos, tacos, chicken wings and guac. And plenty of Mexican mixed drinks, of course.

Journey across the continent with dishes including sushi, ponzu-laced oysters, tempura, duck tacos and yakitori, while enjoying what the venue promises is “an all-singing and dancing tribute to Asia’s legendary party scene”.
