New Trader Vic’s to open on Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah

Dubai Palm Jumeirah residents who love a jalapeño cheese ball and a Polynesian mixed drink are in luck as popular restaurant and bar Trader Vic’s will be opening next year.

The new Trader Vic’s will be in the brand-new Hilton The Palm, which is due to open on the trunk of the Palm in 2020.

We can expect all the dishes we know and love (hello, pupu platter) as well as the traditional Polynesian décor that the chain is famed for.

The team tell Time Out Dubai that it’s set to be a spacious venue, and that plans are well underway.

The brand, which was established in 1934, has formed a massive following over the years, and this new location will be a fourth for the city.

Created by Vic “The Trader” Bergeron, there are now multiple locations around the world, including London, Seychelles, San Francisco and Munich. This will be a fourth outlet for Dubai, with other branches in Souk Madinat Jumeirah, Crowne Plaza Sheikh Zayed Road and the newest at Hilton JBR.

Meanwhile, the JBR branch, which has top views from the terrace across to Ain Dubai and the Palm, is undergoing a revamp – with the stage and dancefloor being relocated slightly to allow for more room for dancing and partying.
