Dubai’s best night clubs 2019

These are the top ten bars in Dubai, as revealed at the Time Out Dubai Music & Nightlife Awards 2019

Dubai’s best night clubs 2019

Winner

Drai’s Dubai
In a nightlife industry that has been dominated by some absolutely superb nightclubs in recent years, Drai’s has come to town amid the aforementioned Soho Garden complex at Meydan and smashed its way into the city’s elite. Initially a day-to-night pool club, it transformed itself entirely in late 2018 and is now the best nightclub in Dubai as far as we’re concerned. International acts hit the stage regularly and Dubai’s clubbing masses flock here twice a week.
Open Tue & Fri, 10pm-4am. Meydan Racecourse, Nad Al Sheba (052 388 8857).

Highly commended

BASE Dubai
A massive open-air nightclub with a central upside-down pyramid that beams out a visually stunning light show three nights a week, shining like a beacon out from this superclub’s location in d3. International rappers, singers and DJs play here every month, plus there’s a collaboration with global party brand Candypants every Saturday.
Open Thu-Sat 10pm-4am. d3, Ras Al Khor Road (055 313 4999).

WHITE Dubai
Round the corner from Drai’s, on the open-air rooftop of the Meydan Racecourse Grandstand in Nad Al Sheba is also home to massive artists on a regular basis, ladies’ nights and one of the most impressive nightlife views around, out towards Downtown Dubai. A regular on this list, with good reason.
Open Thu-Sat 11pm-4am. Meydan Racecourse Grandstand, Nad Al Sheba (050 443 0933).

Shortlisted

1OAK
This American export arrived in Dubai with a huge buzz of excitement. While it hasn’t quite managed to reach the same heights of its Los Angeles and Las Vegas counterparts, it’s still a strong addition
to Dubai’s nightclub scene.
Open Sun, Tue, Thu & Fri 11pm-3am. JW Marriott Marquis Dubai, Business Bay (052 881 8888).

BOA
This is a thoroughly trendy spot – we mean it, no scruffy attire allowed – that really picks up as the night goes on. Spread over a range of levels this lounge bar has an effortlessly relaxed vibe, and is classy in equal measure.
Open daily 8pm-3am. V Hotel Dubai, Curio Collection by Hilton, Al Habtoor City (056 501 2039).

Cavalli Club
An institution on the Dubai scene that manages to transform from lounge to club every single night of the week, so whether you’re after brunch, a few drinks at the bar or a full on party, you’re guaranteed it.
Open daily 8.30pm-3am. Fairmont Dubai, Sheikh Zayed Road (04 332 9260).

Industrial Avenue
The club that’s trying to be anything but a club has done everything to be recognised as an alternative club to go to. No fireworks firing out of enormous bottles, no glittery frocks and no VIP areas.
Tue, Thu & Fri 9pm-3am. The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina, Al Sufouh Road (052 293 5907).

The Secret Room
A fairly new entrant on the Dubai nightlife scene, this intimate nightclub has already developed a luxury feel and a loyal following. Call to get on the guest list, for that’s the only way you’re getting in.
Open Tue, Thu-Fri 11pm-3am. FIVE Palm Jumeirah Dubai (058 869 8996).

Toy Room Dubai
The second version of this famous London nightclub is roomier and swankier than its predecessor. Drinks are on the pricey side but there are regular deals on for ladies and themed nights throughout the week.
Open Mon, Wed-Fri 11pm-4am. Meydan Racecourse, Nad Al Sheba (055 246 4555).
