Hibiki Karaoke Lounge
Set in a Japanese-themed room, this karaoke lounge has a wide range of popular songs as well as show tunes. As one of the first karaoke lounges in the city, it attracts a good number of regular singers that make this an enjoyable place to be whether you take to the mic or not.

Kung Korean Restaurant & Karaoke
This really authentic Asian karaoke bar offers up various rooms depending on how many of you will be going blue in the face. Prices range from Dhs160 per hour if there are just a few of you, up to Dhs180 for ten people, and Dhs280 for anything up to 20 people. It’s open until 2.30am, you can get food and drink brought to your booth, and the décor is pretty cool too. What more could you want? Make sure to book in advance, this unassuming spot gets packed out, especially on the weekends.

Bright, neon, retro décor, excellent music outside, private karaoke pods and about a bajillion songs in the up-to-the-minute library – Lucky Voice continues to be one of the city’s best places to go if you need to belt out a few power ballads. The pods are pretty affordable, starting at Dhs40 per person per hour (deals vary by day) and there are 11 rooms to choose from, some of which can accommodate up to 25 people. It’s crazy, it’s pumping, and the karaoke booths are full of inflatables and even minibar. This is a top night out – just give it just a few minutes and you’ll know exactly why.

Makati Comedy Bar
Makati, found in Deira, has comedy on one hand, karaoke on the other, and puts them together splendidly. In between sets from comedians, you can get up and stretch your lungs if you’re something of a showman. If you’re less of an exhibitionist, and prefer to show off your skills in slightly more closed off surroundings, there are also a range of private suites you can sing in and rent out.

If you’ve not spent much time up in Bur Dubai’s Majestic Hotel Tower, then you have long been missing out on a pumping night out.
