Consider yourself something of a connoisseur?
Put your nose and palate to the test – The Tasting Class is bringing back its blind grape-tasting nights, with the next two events confirmed for August and September in Dubai Media City.
Taking place in the Radisson Blu Dubai Media City's, Al Nada ballroom, the first event takes place on Friday August 21, focusing on Australian grape beverages.
Each blind tasting event sees participants join social tables of six (with social distancing measures in place), while host Lindsay Trivers explains how to taste like a pro, offering specific tips according to the event’s theme.
During the evening, six different bottles – with their labels covered – will be shared, and attendees will have time to taste and guess what they’re sampling, based on the clues provided and their own sense of smell and taste.
Once the tastings are done, everyone will vote for their favourite beverage and the identities of the bottles will be revealed.
Throughout the night, cheese and snacks will be served to attendees, while the restaurant’s bar will be open before and after the tasting sessions.
On Friday September 18, The Tasting Class will return to Media City for another blind tasting, this time themed around New Zealand grape beverages, followed by a blind tasting dedicated to organic and biodynamic grape beverages on Friday October 16.
