Time Out Says

1OAK, the New York-born nightclub in Business Bay, arrived in Dubai with a huge buzz of excitement in early 2018.

Famous for its lively parties, the US export also has outposts in Las Vegas, Los Angeles and Tokyo, and was born out of the catchphrase ‘one of a kind’ – but the question remains, is it?

The super-luxurious nightclub is dark, moody, glamourous and stylish but be warned, this is a late-night haunt. Arrive before midnight and you may be left wondering why it’s so quiet. And while we’re at it with notes: make sure to dress up to get in.

Once in, get ready for an elite clubbing experience. The space is petite, which adds to the “exclusive” vibe, and there’s even a dedicated room with a labyrinth of mirrors for selfies.

Peckish? The swanky spot recently opened a new terrace area designed for partygoers to enjoy late-night cuisine from 2am to 5am, with a menu designed by Richard Turner – the chef behind London’s Hawksmoor.

The music is cracking with the DJ pumping out dance-worthy tunes and the energy is high.

While we wouldn’t go as far as to say it’s a one of a kind experience, it’s one that’s worth trying if you like clubbing.
