Armani Prive

Swanky, high-end nightclub that you’ll want to dress up for

Time Out Says

A super-swanky venue in the world-famous Burj Khalifa, Armani/Privé seems like the kind of place you’d totter across the likes of Beyoncé in your skyscraper heels. We can’t decide whether the nightclub is super swish, or trying a bit too hard, but we know for certain that it’s completely dark.

We cling on for dear life as we make our way down a swirling spiral staircase into a basement club which boasts all-black décor – walls, floors, the lot. We tread with care so we don’t stack it so early into the night.

Once we’ve safely navigated the entrance, we check out the menu. There’s food on offer but it’s eye-wateringly expensive (Dhs200 for jalapeño poppers and Dhs50 per oyster).

Some of the mixed drinks are more reasonably priced, or there’s bubbly if you’re feeling flush, plus there are some fancy bar snacks – including a glass full of fresh strawberries, which is a nice touch.

As the night goes on the vibe picks up, so to get the best out of this club come later on when the house music really ramps up. If you want to get your glad rags on and make a night of it then Armani/Privé will most likely appeal.

The bottom line
Arrive late and glam up.
