Time Out Says
While those punters are still present, there are peaks and troughs throughout the week, and you’ll need to choose the night of your outing carefully (Tuesdays are typically a safe bet, where it’s also ladies’ night in the bar). Some of the shine has faded, too. Before the lights go fully down and a clubbier vibe fills the room, it’s hard not to miss the scuffed edges and peeling tables, and it feels as though the venue is in need of a bit of love.
Service varies wildly between the restaurant and bar. Staff can’t do enough for you in the former, but in the latter, even on quieter evenings, we’re left waving our arms wildly to try and catch someone’s eye. Fortunately, once you eventually manage to grab a member of staff’s attention, they’re unfailingly helpful (and quick on the complimentary popcorn and olives – always a bonus).
Billionaire is not to every taste, but if you are going to give it a whirl, be sure to head down late.
The bottom line
High-end nightspot lacking a little sparkle.
