Time Out Says
With low comfy seating, moody lighting, slick décor and house music playing in the background it exudes a “cool” vibe but be warned – get here early and you’ll be left wondering why it’s so quiet.
The menu features creative mixed drinks with an entire section dedicated to cheesecake-inspired concoctions. There’s also the usual options – grape, hops, short measures (with plenty of Russian choices) – and prices are standard for Dubai.
Cheesecake drinks aside, the focal point here is the live karaoke and the crowds start to pour in from 11pm onwards, when two singers take to the stage and the karaoke party really begins.
The songs are mostly Russian with the odd English one thrown in – think Hit the Road Jack and that sort – with the lyrics displayed on screens around the room.
It’s all good fun and there’s a MC wandering around encouraging guests to get involved and even take to the stage themselves. Everyone is having a great time.
The crowd is a well-heeled one and everyone (gents included) is dressed to the nines so unless you want to stand out like a sore thumb, you’ll want to dress up.
This is most definitely a late night haunt which gets livelier as the night goes on (think sparklers and dancing on the tables) and with prime views across the water to Atlantis The Palm we predict this will be a popular spot for those looking to party their way into the New Year while catching all the fireworks.
