The arrival of The Garden immediately grabbed the attention of everyone in the Time Out Dubai office and got us talking.
This limited-run bar is the second in a series of pop-ups designed to get us all out and about during these cooler months (it runs until the end of April) and is indeed an homage to the great outdoors.
We arrive mid-week, and are greeted by some live jazz from a three-piece band, and the venue feels comfortably full throughout our visit. With plenty of foliage, garden bench-style furnishings and trendy, hanging filament lights, the vibe is warm and relaxed, as if you were at home.
Knowledgeable mixologists tend the bar, serving up beverages based around the Scottish malt drink, with most coming in at around Dhs50 Much of the menu features mixed beverages created using herbs grown inside The Garden’s walls, and the home-made touch is noticeable.
We could see ourselves while away an evening comfortably in this laid-back garden.
And since it’s only open for another two months, there’s no time like the present to get out and discover this little gem.
The bottom line
If only this al fresco bar was permanent.
