Time Out Says
But if you’re looking for a chic, elegant bar to sip a drink in, look no further than Ena.
With a stunning terrace boasting views out across the water to Atlantis The Palm, it’s a top spot for sunset drinks and into the evening.
Inside, the bar is just as charming though, still allowing those ace vistas. With moody lighting there are cosy nooks and crannies in which to take a comfy seat, or perch at the higher tables. If you’re after a class in mixology, sit on the rustic wooden bench at the bar.
The décor is sophisticated, all neutral tones, with the centrepiece being a stunning chandelier above the bar.
Drinks are of average price – around Dhs50 for a glass of grape – but the bar’s selling point is its inventive mixed drinks.
The venue is Greek – as is the trend, see our review on page 44 of GAIA for more Greek eats – and uses ingredients from the country creatively.
Drinks feature flavours as diverse as tzatziki, Greek yoghurt, pomegranate, honey, cherry tomatoes and even feta. It’s an intriguing and impressive list, with prices around the Dhs65 mark.
There’s also a Greek bar snacks menu including chicken souvlaki and baked almond-crusted feta if you’re peckish (and if you are you should certainly order the latter, it’s a hit).
It’s quiet on our visit – as is much of The Pointe still – but we’re sure when the area picks up this will be one the top nightspots to head to.
