Time Out Says
Set up in Hyatt Regency Dubai Creek Heights, this bar is cleverly designed, so that it’s a great vantage point in winter or summer. In cooler weather the floor-to-ceiling door-windows are opened to reveal a layer of tables snaking all the way around the outside, while in summer you can still enjoy the lounge indoors.
Of course prime space for a rooftop bar is outside, and in winter this is a top place to settle into a sofa and take in the views of Burj Khalifa on one side and Dubai Creek Golf Club on the other, while sipping on a drink.
Inside the décor is slick and is heaving with foliage – as is the trend at the moment – for a jungle-cool vibe. There’s also a pool table if you fancy a competitive game with your mates.
There’s a daily happy hour where you’ll get 50 percent off drinks from 4.30pm until 7pm, and the bar bites menu is decent too, if not a little confusing – boasting Asian, Middle Eastern and Latin American dishes.
Our top pick is the tasty, tender prawn anticuchos, which arrive on their own mini grill, while the edamame hummus is a fun and tasty take on the classic Middle Eastern dip. It’s not cheap, but nothing tops Dhs100.
There’s also a night brunch every Friday from 5pm, starting at Dhs250 and for live DJs head down on a Thursday, where the tempo picks up and it’s a fun way to kick off the weekend.
For a cool bar with excellent views in Old Dubai, Eve Penthouse is worth checking out, whatever the season.
