Fibber Magee's

Quintessentially Irish pub that does everything exceptionally well

Time Out Says

There are two words we’d use to describe this magnificent Irish pub on Sheikh Zayed Road – nooks and crannies.

Fibbers is, rightly, an absolute institution in Dubai, thanks to being genuinely one of the most authentic bars you’ll find anywhere in town. It’s so typically Irish and pubby that it leaves pubs in Ireland looking over their shoulders and feeling a bit insecure about their Irish pubishness.

It’s home to some magnificent breakfasts (oh, go on then, you beautiful brekkie bap, you), live sport, mismatched furniture, loud carpets, exposed brick, stained glass windows, low ceilings, sports jerseys, fireplaces, the black stuff on tap – everything you could possibly want and expect. And it does so without the slightest hint of contrivance, making it all the more endearing to its many loyal patrons.

There’s also live music that takes place regularly, where you can pair your pub grub with a jam session from fiddlers, flautists and traditional Irish instruments.

It’s a brilliant place to hang out for the day, for lunch, for the night – especially when it hosts its live comedy nights that’ll leave you chuckling your way through the night, enjoying the bountiful craic.

It’s unique, it’s glorious, it’s a treasure.
