Time Out Says

An institution on Sheikh Zayed Road, Harvesters serves up as many football matches as it does hot dinners, and it’s as good as spot as any in the area for both.

The British-style pub (no relation to the ubiquitous UK Harvester chain) sits tucked away in a secluded corner of the labyrinthine Crowne Plaza Dubai, but its removed location does little to deter the punters.

A long-time meeting point for the UAE chapter of the Manchester United Supporters Club, expect a busy, lively bar on match days, but then rarely will you find Harvesters empty. Daily deals keep the regulars pouring in, with offers including a main and a pint for Dhs75 on Tuesdays, and a bargain Friday brunch that features five bottles of hops and a generous all-day breakfast, burger, chicken tikka or fish and chips for Dhs145.

The drinks are reasonable, the food is decent and the service is swift. If you’re looking to be fawned over and constantly looked in on, you’ve come to the wrong place.

If you’re looking for a no-nonsense, no-frills pub, you’ve found it.

The Bottom Line

A basic British pub, popular with the city’s Manchester United fans.
