Healey's Bar & Terrace
Time Out Says
Tucked away in the corner of the Bonnington Tower like the forgotten child, most of Dubai’s night-time revellers pile past it heading straight for McGettigan’s directly below it.
And why not? That’s certainly where the good times are.
Not into fun and prefer a quiet night cap you say? You can do better than settling for Healey’s. The furniture resembles the mish mash collection found in a clearing out sale of a two-star hotel. The lighting is the same ghostly blue-white ER medics beam into the eyes of patients to stop them from slipping away, but brighter. And the terrace? It only serves as a sorry vantage point to hear those good times rolling in thick and fast at the aforementioned bar below that you’re not at. Even the daily 4pm to 8pm happy hour is a lacklustre Dhs35 for a handful of house beverages – despite its website stating it starts at 2pm and drinks are priced from Dhs25.
Unfortunately the weekend mood is so flat, even those lights will struggle to keep you from dropping off.
