Industrial Avenue
Leave the high heels at home and take in the VIP-free gritty urban vibes

Time Out Says
Trendy new Al Sufouh spot Industrial Avenue might just be the most un-Dubai nightclub in town.
You won’t find any luxuriously furnished VIP areas here, nor are there any ostentatious sharing drinks with sparklers sticking out the top.
And if you’re looking to swish past a velvet rope and perch yourself on a sofa for the night, then you’d best head elsewhere, quicksmart.
Located inside the Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina, the urban club features stripped-back décor, with stylish grafitti scrawled across the interior and corrugated metal screwed on to the walls.
Of course, there’s some furniture here, but the real attraction is that pretty much the whole club is a dancefloor.
Following its reopening last month (it was previously part of China Grill which shut down in March), Industrial Avenue promises to be all about the clubbing, DJs and music.
Open until 3am from Tuesday to Friday, it offers a series of weekly nights ranging from underground house to hip-hop, with a relaxed door policy that urges clubbers to “come as you are” – so it’s worth leaving those towering high heels at home.
Although it’s fairly quiet when we arrive on a Wednesday, by midnight the place is packed, it’s loud and it’s absolutely bouncing. It’s a mixed, but generally younger crowd and there’s not a hint of pretentiousness, with good – if not slightly edgy – vibes all around. It’s unashamedly loud (a little too loud at times) and it’s extremely busy – but it’s a totally different clubbing experience to anything else you’ll find right now in Dubai.

The bottom line
The edgy vibe makes for a top night.
