Little Black Door

Swanky nightspot with a secretive vibe

Time Out Says

PERMANENTLY CLOSED

Hidden away behind an innocuous entrance in the Conrad Dubai, Little Black Door is designed to feel like a real speakeasy. And thanks to its secretive location, intimate size, low lighting and emphasis on old-fashioned mixology, it pretty much nails the theme.

As with most of the city’s most swinging, high-end nightspots, the later you head down the livelier you can expect this place to be. And whether date-night couples or post-work groups, everyone is here to let their hair down.

Service behind the bar is slick – staff are real pros, and even if you can’t find something you fancy on the extensive menu, they’re more than happy to show off their skills to concoct your favourite drink.

While this is a brilliant place for drinks pre- or post-dinner, don’t expect too much from the food menu, which can be extremely hit and miss. (Beware the piadina flatbread with its wasabi crème fraiche.)

For a cool night out that will make you feel as though you’ve cabareted back to 1920s New York, it doesn’t get any closer than this.

The bottom line
Stylish mixed drinks bar with a speakeasy feel.
