Moroc Lounge & Bar

Simple bar with decent outdoor terrace that’s worth stopping in for

Time Out Says

Extremely low-key, this bar is probably nowhere near your radar, but for its spacious terrace and decent happy hour, it really should be.

Moroc isn’t going to blow you away, though. It’s simple and seems mainly to cater to the hotel’s guests – it certainly isn’t a destination bar.

It’s set within the Mövenpick Hotel, its outdoor space overlooking the iconic Ibn Battuta Gate. While nothing fancy, this is the space you want to be in.

Staff are helpful, kind and conversational. This is the sort of place where you can happily get chatting to the person pulling your pints and not get bored. It serves some decent Middle Eastern bites to enjoy with your beverages, and is also a great space for a spot of Moroccan tea. The bar serves shisha, too.

Happy hour runs from 4pm to 8pm daily, when you’ll get percent off of selected drinks, making a glass of grape Dhs21, and a bottle of hops Dhs16.

We wouldn’t advise going out of your way to visit Moroc Lounge & Bar, but if happen to be in the area and it’s happy hour, it’s certainly worth stopping in.

The bottom line

Good for a post mall pint and bite to eat.
