The start of this year has been chock full of massive new bar and club openings. Whether it’s been the continued expansion of the Soho Garden complex in Meydan (housing new arrivals Drai’s Dubai and Soho Beach), or the arrival of Cannes superclub Gotha, or US celeb-laden hangout 1 OAK – we’ve been truly spoiled.

Now you can add another famous bar to that list. Beirut-born terrace bar Seven Sisters has arrived in town, and Time Out Dubai got a sneak peek at the stylish spot, which is located at the increasingly active JW Marriott Marquis Dubai in Business Bay.

The hotel is home to the aforementioned 1 OAK, as well as sports bar Bridgewater Tavern (and its associated terrace bar Café Artois), Vault, Weslodge Saloon and Square. Now Seven Sisters has arrived, and it is swinging open its doors on Wednesday April 11.

So what can you expect from this funky little spot?

Well, not only have you got some cracking views of the Dubai Water Canal, you’ll have live entertainment throughout the week to accompany your al fresco beverages. Live music every Tuesday will come from local singer-songwriter Layla Kardan, while resident DJs Megatronik, Patch and Margo will bring an eclectic mix of house, chill-out tunes and a bunch of club classics.

Open daily from 5pm until 3am, you’ll also be able to get hold of a bunch of dishes if you’re after some grub. Food includes sea bass ceviche, tuna tartare with miso, short rib yakitori and black cod with gnocchi. We can’t wait to tuck in.

“We wanted to create a relaxed ambiance, focusing on good music and excellent food, for an alternative experience in Dubai’s nightlife scene,” said Evgeny Kuzin, founder and managing partner of Bulldozer Group – who also happen to run our Club of the Year, BASE Dubai.

“After months of planning and preparation, we are very excited to bring the Seven Sisters legacy to Dubai," said Rabih Fakhreddine, Founder and CEO of Seven Management. "We truly have one of the most beautiful sunset views in Business Bay, and I really recommend watching it from our terrace."

So, where are you heading this week?
Opening Wed Apr 11. Open daily 5pm-3am. JW Marriott Marquis Dubai, Business Bay (056 775 4777).
