Bar Rumba opens at The Westin Mina Seyahi

The new bar is at Asia de Cuba

Fans of Latino beats and bites are in for a treat, as there’s a brand-new bar open in the city.

Bar Rumba is set on the upper level of Asia de Cuba in The Westin Mina Seyahi, in the space that previously housed China Grill, and it opens today (Tuesday April 17).

The restaurant opened last month, serving up a range of Chino Latino treats including ceviches, spring rolls and Peking duck.

Asia de Cuba, which is under the same management as China Grill, already has successful branches in New York and London. And the restaurant and bar at the St. Regis Corniche in Abu Dhabi is also hugely popular, so much so that it was crowned Bar of the Year 2017 and Best Lounge Bar 2017 by Time Out Abu Dhabi, so we can’t wait to see what Bar Rumba has in store.

As well as providing a cool space to grab a pre-dinner drink, the bar is also offering up two brand-new ladies’ nights, that you’ll want to get along to.

Tuesdays will serve up free-flowing grape and bubbly to the ladies, plus there will be a hotdog stand where you can grab a classic NYC-style snack when you get peckish.

You can even customise these with buns such as activated charcoal or the New York classic roll plus a range of toppings. On arrival each woman will get a voucher for a free hotdog, after that they are just Dhs30 each.

Meanwhile on a Wednesday night ladies can get a range of unlimited mixed drinks and tapas for just Dhs100 a person. Both nights will feature ’80s, house and R&B music as well as Latino tunes and run from 7pm until 11pm.

Hotdogs, Latino vibes and plush, tropical décor. What more could you want?
Ladies’ nights: Tue & Wed, 7pm-11pm. The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina, King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Street, (04 511 7333).
