The Irish Village launches first-ever happy hour

Dubai’s iconic Garhoud pub introduces weekday discounts

For the first time ever, one of Dubai’s favourite pubs has introduced a happy hour designed to see you through the week.

Having been a permanent fixture on the Dubai scene for more than 20 years, this city’s most iconic and long-standing Irish pub, The Irish Village, has brought in a weekday happy hour offer that makes this award-winning pub even better.

Once again crowned Pub of the Year at the Time Out Dubai Music & Nightlife Awards earlier this year, the pub is perhaps best known for its sprawling garden area to which expats flock in their droves during the winter months. With massive concerts (most recently hosting
Prince tribute act New Purple Collective) a regular thing here, especially at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium which has hosted New Order, Ocean Colour Scene, Texas and more over the past year, you’ve now got another reason to head over.

Every weekday, from Sunday to Thursday, you’ll be able to head over during the late afternoon and into the early evening to catch sundowners at this Garhoud pub – where you’ll find house beverages, grape and hops available for Dhs35. The deal is available from 4pm until 7pm, so don’t hang around after work.

The new happy hour deal is also matched with a one-off pub quiz that’s coming to The Irish Village at the start of next week. On Sunday May 6, The Dubai Quiz will be coming to the pub, where teams of up to six people will compete for some “amazing prizes”, according to The Irish Village. Booking is recommended, so WhatsApp 050 228 8297 to save your space.

Happy hour: Dhs35 per drink. Sun-Thu, 4pm-7pm. Ongoing. The Dubai Quiz: Free. Sun May 6, 8pm-11pm. Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium, Garhoud (04 282 4750).
