Trader Vic’s to host a massive scavenger hunt

Find a tie and get a beverage on the house

A bunch of rogue ties has somehow escaped Trader Vic’s, and it’s up to you to find them.

Don’t fret, you'll be rewarded fittingly for your investigative skills.

The popular Polynesian venue at JBR will be hosting a massive scavenger hunt next month (Tuesday, July 3 and Tuesday, July 17), where guests need to scout around Hilton Dubai Jumeirah hotel to find ties.

Once you spot one, hunters can bring back their find and trade it in for one of Trader Vic’s famous tiki-style beverages. The more you find, the more beverages you’ll get.

Adventurers can take on the hunt on two Tuesdays in July, with the offer running from 5pm until 3am.

And the with the World Cup fast approaching (it arrives tomorrow, Thursday, June 14), Trader Vic’s has launched another deal, too. While the World Cup is in full swing (until Sunday July 15), the venue will also be offering a free order of its very popular (and very delicious) jalapeño cheese balls when guests order any main course.

Created by Vic “The Trader” Bergeron in 1934, the brand has become massively popular all around the world, especially in the UAE, which now has six branches across the emirates.

Its JBR branch opened in March, featuring tropical drinks, old-school Polynesian décor and a terrace with stunning views.

So if you think of yourself as a modern Sherlock Holmes this quirky scavenger hunt might just be for you.

And if you’re looking for other activities to do this summer, take a look at our lengthy list of meals, deals and packages that are sure to entertain.
Free. Tue Jul 3 and Tue Jul 17. Open daily 5pm-3am. Hilton Dubai Jumeirah, The Walk, JBR, www.tradervicsjbr.com (04 318 2530).
