Time Out Says

It never ceases to befuddle us why The Pullman chose to create an elevator service that stops at the fifth floor, where you have to get out and change lifts to ride to the upper portions of the hotel. Especially when it would be a crying shame for people to alight at Vantage and think that’s where the journey ends, because by no means should it. Venture up to the 24th floor and take a right, stepping out past the pools, where you’ll find a delightfully relaxing pavillion with views that stretch out to Downtown, then over to the coast and the Al Qasr hotel in the other direction.

While there are only a few seating arrangements and lots of empty space, in this instance it works, and feels intentional rather than accidental. Set up around each of the large open arches (don’t worry, there’s a glass partition to stop curious patrons toppling out), it’s a great place to park up and catch a sunset, or watch as dusk turns to night over the city. As for drinks, expect to find the usual suspects. There’s little in the way of light snacks, but plenty of typical poolside meal options such as sandwiches and smoothies which will certainly fill a hole. But if you’ve come here to zone out – which the space is ideal for – the food is beside the point.
