Time Out Says

Sometimes life in Dubai goes so quickly that you can forget you’re living in a place that people around the world eye up enviously, wishing they could holiday here and enjoy the beaches, buildings and bars for just a few days before going back to their normal lives.

If you haven’t experienced the “it’s pretty amazing to live here” feeling in a while, then you could do a lot worse than heading to Sea Fu. The seafood restaurant and bar at the Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach is accessible by a scenic walk from the hotel. Once you pass a huge fire bowl you’ll find the al fresco venue, and by the time you’ve taken a seat at the circular bar and ordered a drink you’ll be in holiday mode.

The restaurant specialises in Asian seafood dishes, and you’ll find an Eastern flavour to most of the mixed drinks as well as to the hops available in bottles and on tap. Prices are average for this kind of venue and location, but the Tuesday ladies’ night offers a bottle of sparkling grape and a three-course menu for Dhs125, plus there’s a daily two-for-one happy hour deal from 5pm to 7pm. Complimentary bar snacks including olives and rice crackers are a nice touch and service is swift and personable. We like it a lot.

The bottom line
A fine spot to chill out by the beach.
