Segreto Terrace Bar
Time Out Says
But what if you don’t want to be seen? What about those evenings when you’re battleworn from a dismal day at your desk and the last thing you want is to run into Craig from sales, who’s always turning up in your local? Despite having been around for some time, this Madinat Jumeirah spot, tucked away on Segreto restaurant’s rooftop, is a laid-back hideaway and haven of serenity. Pull up an armchair or plop yourself into a beanbag and peruse the extensive grape menu while you marinate in Dubai’s glorious winter weather.
Having recently undergone a revamp, and introduced a new aperitivo offer from Thursday to Saturday (buy any drink from 5.30pm to 8.30pm and get free-flowing Italian nibbles), however, you may need to steam in fast to unwind with those views of the Madinat’s waterways all to yourself and your carefully selected company. It’s only a matter of time before word gets out and Craig crops up.
The bottom line
A lovely, little-known Madinat spot.
