Time Out Says
The bar underwent an extensive revamp at the end of last year – to its benefit – and is now more spacious, slick and comfortable.
Views overlook Dubai Marina (but mostly King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Street), so while not the most picturesque outdoor spot, the setting of the bar itself makes up for that.
The centrepiece is the swimming pool, around which sit sofas and comfy chairs. There are also long cushions on the steps, perfect for lounging. We pull up a stool at the bar for drinks, which, considering the location, are reasonably priced (coming in at around Dhs40), plus there’s a happy hour deal too, from Dhs30.
The same can’t be said for the food, which is overpriced and best avoided, with some rubbery prawns and below-par sushi the notable mentions.
The décor is chic and classy a tone that reflected in the vibe, although it’s not at all stuffy. The lighting is moody and mellow, lending a laid-back vibe, making it ideal for a pre-dinner drink or date night. Worth a visit.
The bottom line
Date-night-worthy (but dine elsewhere).
