Time Out Says
The longstanding lounge, restaurant and bar, that was previously just Caramel, now boasts a fresher, more youthful look and feel – with lighter furnishings and slick décor.
Warning, if you haven’t been before it’s not the easiest of locations to find, but once you arrive you’ll be pleased you made the effort.
As well as boasting live music, there’s also a ladies’ night on Tuesdays where you’ll get unlimited drinks from 8pm – including sparkling – which makes it worthy of a visit.
The vibe is buzzing thanks to its prime location, with plenty of groups out for post-work drinks.
It’s fairly large, which means it doesn’t have a cosy feel, but there’s a packed bar area, spacious restaurant and outdoor terrace area.
The menu has also had a revamp, so if you’re dining you can look forward to a variety of dishes from around the world from sushi to hummus.
Although pricey, portions are large, so you won’t need more than a couple to share. We’d suggest the edamame hummus, which is deliciously, nutty, smooth and moreish, as well as the lobster tacos – packed with tangy, garlicky filling in crunchy shells (napkins advised).
The bar has recently introduced an aperitvo deal too, from Sunday until Thursday between 4pm and 8pm where you’lll get select grape, hops and house beverages will come in at Dhs28 – which is a bargain in our books, especially considering the area.
For post-work drinks in DIFC this is a strong option.
