A classy restaurant bar that’s perfect for a pre-dinner drink

Time Out Says

We’ve raved about the food at STK many a time. The steaks are excellent, the sides are super tasty and the chocolate lava cake is so good it made our list of 50 of the best things we’ve eaten so far this year (see our feature on page 22). However, the classy bar area itself is top, too.

With sister restaurants in London, New York and Miami, the uber-trendy steakhouse brand fits well with Dubai’s nightlife and dining scene.

The space itself is cool and moodily lit, with bold artwork adorning the walls and cherry blossom trees among the tables.

The bar area is fairly compact, and sits just at the entrance of the restaurant. There are comfy sofas and high tables.

Fellow STK-goers are well dressed, and there’s an upbeat, upmarket vibe.

We take a seat at the bar, where the staff are friendly and chatty. It’s on the pricey side, as you’d expect, but there’s a good selection of drinks. Tuesdays offers up a decent ladies night deal, with three free drinks and a two-course dinner for Dhs199. Though you can have the drinks at the bar, too.

STK’s bar is the ideal spot for a pre-dinner drink, but it’s also worth a visit if you’re not dining at the restaurant.

The bottom line

Upmarket spot with cool vibes.
