Time Out Says

The Docks feels intrinsically British. Set in Ramada Jumeirah Hotel, close to Satwa, it’s packed to the brim with veteran expats from Blighty.

It’s a lively spot that shows cricket, football and rugby on its many TV screens, not that it can be labelled a sports bar per se. It’s more of a Scottish-themed pub where regulars meet to have a catch-up over a pint.

Price-wise, the buy-one-get-one-free deal on selected beverages, which runs every day from 5pm to 7pm, works out to be a real bargain.

There’s a decent selection of hops on tap as well as bottled, and there are a number of Scottish short beverages on the menu. There’s a short list of pub grub on offer, too, which is also reasonably priced.

In terms of aesthetics, little sets The Docks apart from many other watering holes in Dubai. But that goes hand in hand with the essence of the place – it’s a laid-back, unassuming spot for those who just want a low-key catch-up.

The Bottom Line

Cheap and cheerful pretty much sums this pub up completely.
