Time Out Says
For that to be true though, we’re sure the “young” have to be there, and the London-inspired sports bar is a tad lacking in that demographic. Maybe they got it right with the “young at heart” part of the sales pitch.
The interiors and outdoor terrace has, apparantly (we’re not convinced), a London-style design, lined with wood and metal, along with simple décor.
It’s quiet, but not through lack of trying. THE EXIT has daily happy hour offers, ladies’ and gent’s nights, along with foodie-centric deals. Unlimited chicken wings for two hours while we watch sport on the big screen? it’s not the worst idea we’ve heard. And there are plenty of screens and two projectors to watch on.
For casual watching of the biggest games, including Premier League matches, it makes for a fine spot, especially if you’re after a quick game of pool or foosball between matches. Its drinks menu also offers a selection of fairly priced short measures. However, to expect atmospheric roars, banter and post-game chats? Head elsewhere.
It’s still early days for THE EXIT, but it has potential with its daily happy hours and specialty nights. However, it may need to look more closely at what audience it’s targeting to really score.
